Hopping on Giant's Causeway

Walking along the cliff tops around the Giants Causway was a spectacular view, there was no barrier protecting us from a fatal fall as we stood at the edges of the rugged cliffs of North Northern Ireland, down below was Giants Causeway one of the world’s top wonders, it looked a lot smaller in reality, in pictures it looks enormous.
We made our way down steps which clung to the cliffs, we didn’t notice the no entry sign which had been ripped down, on our way down the views were splendid, the cold wind pushed against our bodies causing us to push back into it, luckily this section of the path actually has a barrier, we looked down at the people, they looked like little ants, everyone came to a certain point in the path which was barricading them from entering any further, as they turned away they looked up towards us and pointed, I had a feeling that we shouldn’t be here as the path that we were following led directly to that direction, then we saw the reason why, a large landslide had cut off a section of the path, I stood there and looked at the slide, I personally felt a bit sick in the stomach as I glanced upwards towards the top of the cliff hoping to God that another landslide doesn’t occur whilst we were standing there, at this point we decided to turn around and make our way back up the steps, hoping that no one official was going to be marching in our direction to give us a good ticking off.
Following the path back we found a more simple path to follow, which also provided a bus service, which we didn’t take. We followed the path towards the Causeway, following tourists that had hand sets explaining about important information of the Causeway, the wind has picked up a bit more and grey clouds were making there way over us hiding away the sunset; Giants causeway was now up on us, through all my childhood I have heard about Giants Causway, knowing that you could just climb over the stepping stones that form this great formation I see before me, I couldn’t believe I was finally here. Unfortunately what puts me off about the Causeway is the fact that the tourist are everywhere, you can’t get a picture of the Causeway as a whole without someone staring back at you with a camera of their own, you would have to come pretty early to get a picture free of tourist.
I started climbing up the cause way, one step at a time; hopping along the surface was a great feeling, it made me forget about all the problems that face adult life and brought me back to a child even if it was just for ten minutes, I got closer to the sea, this side of the Causeway is where the rocks turn black and slippery, but the view of the Causeway and the surrounding cliffs was well worth the effort of getting that far out to sea.
I would highly recommend a trip to the Giants Causeway and looking forward to travel back there again, to climb over the rocks like a child once more.
